After experiencing first hand the challenges of caring for an elderly loved one, Valerie was led to the area of Elder Law. She understands the emotional stress placed on family members when a loved one becomes ill and questions arise as to how to obtain the best care for that loved one and how to afford that care. An even bigger challenge faces family members who live in other states and are trying to take care of loved ones who live here in Florida.

A native of the Midwest, Valerie is a tireless advocate for the elderly and is committed to providing the best legal service for her clients. Her practice is focused on estate planning, Medicaid planning and life care planning.

Valerie has taught paralegal courses on Wills, Trusts & Estates for Florida International University; she speaks to numerous community and support groups on how to plan and pay for long-term care; she has helped train volunteers who work directly with the elderly on long term care issues; and she provides training to financial advisors and insurance agents on planning for incapacity and estate planning. She regularly attends conferences and seminars to expand her knowledge and better serve her clients.
